Bill A3666 Legal Fund
As you are aware, Bill A3666/S3071 was rushed through the NJ State Legislature right before the 2018 holiday season and then signed into law by Governor Murphy in early 2019. The law significantly altered the existing Public Works Contractor Registration requirements to mandate that companies must now participate in a Department of Labor approved apprenticeship program, with further NJDOL regulation that the apprenticeship program have an ERISA-certified pension trust fund. This law has wreaked havoc on our Association’s members, many of whom have existing contracts with the State of New Jersey and its related entities.
Watch the video below for a summary from NJELSA Central Region Vice President, Brian Arenofsky. Brian details the issues with the law, and the NJELSA’s legal course of action. After watching the video, we need your help by donating to our A3666 Public Works Legal Fund.
